Are you looking for a vegan profiteroles recipe?

We have gone one step further and added the delicious flavours of banana to add into the mix!

Our friend Bonita came into the studio to cook some food with us. The Banana Fritteroles we made together turned out to be utterly dreamy & a super, super easy dairy free desert idea.

If you are a banana fan, you will LOVE THESE.



  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1/3 cup wholemeal flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp baking soda
  • Vegetable oil (hot - for frying)


  • 2 cups dark chocolate
  • 1/2 can coconut milk


  • Powdered sugar


  1. 1.

    Put 4 ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl & mash them.

  2. 2.

    Add the rest of the ingredients & mix them all together with a wooden spoon.

  3. 3.

    Spoon table tennis ball sized amounts of mixture into the hot oil & cook them until they’re golden brown & puffy.

  4. 4.

    Take them out of the oil & put them on kitchen towels so the excess oil runs off them.

  5. 5.

    Boil some water in a pan, put a bowl on top of the water that’s in the pan (so the bottom of the bowl ISN’T touching the water) & add the chocolate.

  6. 6.

    Wait until the chocolate has melted & then stir in the coconut milk.

  7. 7.

    Pour the chocolate sauce all over the fritteroles & enjoy immediately! BOSH!
