They’re a fantastic party food or great on their own with a side salad. The toppings can be anything - from leftovers in you fridge to something super creative!

Method

Ingredients

For the base

  • 4 pitta breads (whole wheat or white)
  • 5 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 cloves garlic (crushed)
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • Salt
  • Pepper

For the pizzas (or choose your own toppings)

  • 1 beef tomato
  • 1 packet vegan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 red onion
  • 10g fresh basil
  • 1/2 tin pineapple
  • Jalepenos (from jar)
  • 50g mushrooms
  • Sundried tomatoes (from jar)
  • Artichokes (from jar)

Method

  1. 1.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celsius.

  2. 2.

Make the tomato base in a bowl adding the salt, pepper, tomato paste, oregano and garlic.

  3. 3.

Lay out 4 pitta breads on a baking tray. Add 1 tbsp on the sauce onto each pitta and spread evenly.

  4. 4.

Add a generous layer of vegan cheese to each pitta.

  5. 5.

Add your toppings (again, choose ours or make your own!)

  6. 6.

Put the pittas in the oven for around 15 minutes, until the pittas are toasted and the cheese has melted.

  7. 7.

    Serve and enjoy!
