Ultimate Christmas Burger

Ultimate Christmas Burger
Ultimate Christmas Burger

This is our ultimate Christmas burger - a great way to use your Christmas dinner leftovers to make the most DELICIOUS vegan burger recipe.

We've cheated slightly here and used a ready made plant-based burger just for ease on the day but if you want please feel free to make any burger of your choice!

It's all about the toppings with this Christmas recipe burger - we've used cranberry sauce, crispy brussel sprouts, crispy onions, crumbled chestnuts and the all important stuffing patty! We just used store bough stuffing (most of them are vegan) and made them into patties before popping in the oven.

This Christmas burger really is fantastic, a great way to use those Christmas leftovers or if you're just fancying all the festive flavours in one sandwich.

This is a brilliant christmas recipe idea and a little bit different!

  • 4 plant based burger patties
  • 1 pack shop bought stuffing
  • 4 slices dairy free cheese
  • 4 burger rolls
  • 4 tbsp cranberry sauce
  • 4 tbsp egg free mayo
  • 4 tbsp crispy onions
  • 4 chestnuts (pre cooked and vacuum packed)
  • 8 iceberg lettuce leaves
  • 600g oven french fries

  1. 1.

    You will need...

Preheat oven to 180*C | Baking sheet lined with parchment paper

  2. 2.

Put the plant based patties on the baking sheet, put the baking sheet in the oven and cook for 20 minutes | Prepare the stuffing and cook according to packet instructions | Cook the oven french fries according to packet instructions

  3. 3.

Whilst the patties and stuffing are cooking, slice the burger rolls and shred the lettuce leaves | Prepare your burgers, spread the mayo on the bottom buns and cranberry sauce over the top of the buns | Sprinkle the lettuce leaves onto the bottom buns | Crumble the chestnuts

  4. 4.

Take the baking tray with burgers on it out of the oven and place it down on a heat proof surface | Place the slices of dairy free cheese on top of the burgers, put a roasting tin on top of the burgers, to trap in the moisture, and put the tray back in the oven for a further 7 minutes (this will help the cheese melt and prevent it from drying out

  5. 5.

Take the stuffing out of the oven and place a neat disk of the stuffing on top of each of the bottom buns

  6. 6.

Take the burger patties out of the oven and place them on top of the stuffing | Sprinkle the crispy onions and crumbled chestnuts over the top of the burger patties, close the lids and serve immediately with the oven fries
